3D Design Software

Can any one point me in the direction of a decent basic package which will allow panning and roation of a 3D object, hoping to put a basic factory plan into a 3D concept and have the ability to view the design in 360Degree's......

Oh Sorry, lol..... i have managed to download google sketchup, awesome free program :D
 
well i have created a model of a plant which i am going to install. its very basic in form but for a basic over view i think its great...... if any one wants to see the working model it i will email it to them....ya have to have sketch up installed like...

Fair play that looks half decent, especially as it came from google sketch!

I've only had to view something on it once, and it ran like a dog, but that could be due to the model size.

i did notice some lag in operations, god knows how it would run with the house as seen in my failed tube embed above

But...... Turns out we have Solidworks where i work, and is currently being installed on my works terminal..... boss wants it done again but with dimensions, matrials etc.....why oh why did i even bother lol
 
i use 3DS max myself but on the pc despite being a mac user, google sketch is damn good fun mind you
