power steering levels, gear box oil level, help please? :D

just checked my power steering fluid today and its at the min level. will this fluid do the job CLICK. Also how do i check the gearbox oil level its a 1.2 8v MK2 PH1 Grande, ive done a search but nothing for my model. Its on a W plate with 44 000 miles.

You cant check the gearbox, Replace it, or dont replace it.

i thought you could unscrew the filler cap or whatever it is plug, bolt etc and fill it until it comes out or stick you finger in and it should be right at the top.

not sure though, its only done 44 000 miles but its a W reg and the gearbox is very very slightly whiny at around 1200-2000RPM so id just like to check the oil, not sure the noise is normal or not

Yeah you can top it up, but as your there why not just give it a change, a gearbox oil change really is very noticable in driving

just found the plastic wing nut and stuck my finger in, the oil is up to the top, clean and smells like new oil.

Also, how on earth can you tell if it's at min/max if the dam bottle isn't see-through lol ?
