The official release won't happen until after 9am california time, it has a worldwide simultaneous release so that is why some of the apple sites are giving different dates because of the timezones.

Exactly and seeing as 9am in California is 5pm GMT and in the summer UK is 1 hour ahead that makes the release 6pm here

^^lol doubt it!

i've been going over the updates again and tbh its things that should have been on the phone from day one, but it will be nice to have the extras, namely cut/copy/paste etc

I actually cant understand why im so excited about this...
I mean, the updates is not even going to be that good really is it lol

Bring on 10pm when I finish work and can download it ;)

The updates are good but not life changing :D

The initial excitement of installing it disappeared quickly but it does improve the iPhone experience.

Christ knows why i'm excited about something which, really, will make very little difference to me. LOL

It appears Ofcom have interest in O2 charging twice for data. More that moan, the more Ofcom can do.

He does have a point to a degree, but the service is massively open to abuse on a laptop compared to an iPhone.

Quality comment "iPhone owners are a precious bunch arent they, i expect they want 3 hot meals a day delivered to there doors as well, if you want a mobile dongle get one."

When I email pics from my 16gb iPhone they go at a decent size and the quality of the image is pretty good.

A friend of mine has an 8gb and when she emails pictures they're tiny and the quality when viewed on the phone is s**t. Is the handset faulty?

That happened with a earlier firmware release, every emailed photo was sent at a hellishly low resolution. Has she not updated the firmware?

I'll find out which version she's running. I'm sure I got her to update.

I assume that's Version in the about section? Mine is running 2.2.1 (5H11)

Can anyone help with a couple of questions?

If the phones jailbroken can you still use apps from the app store?

Can you save a particular message (SMS) from someone to the sim like you can with most normal phones? I don't mean a conversation I mean one particular "reply" if you will from someone.

That's happened to mine too. If I take into the store, would they give me a replacement straight away? Or will it be sent for repair?
