The roads are awesome, we found one that was about 20 miles long between 2 mountains, twist after twist.

Tri-podding was the aim, however i was out classed by my mate in his eibach'ed gold GTI Diesel -

I was for some reason suffering massivly from understeer :(

That looks like loads of fun. I cant wait to get back to uni up north where i can get on those type of roads on the yorkshire dales :)

Pic 2 Not as bad as it looks ;)

Road is the A4069, I think will be headding back to North wales Next time to see what i can find up there.

It is WELL worth the drive, in total we racked up about 700 miles over the weekend.

Wales is God's Country - FACT!

cracking pics mate. especially love the tripodding ones and teh one where you can see the smoke burning from the inside tyre - proper job! ;-)

I was suffering with to much understeer :( I suspect I could have got the rear wheel higher.

I need to work out why the understeer is happening, Possibley the Coilovers are set to Stiff or something.

Looks like an awsome trip. I'm going to take a day out there when I change my car for a formal hello.

cheers for that mate, seen many pics of this and always wondered where it is, will definatly be taking a trip and maybe someone who can take pics too

nice pics, me and my mates started goin up to meet you lot on the piston head run at newport (M4 J30) but we were going to be late and dint want to miss you all so we made are way to meet you all at horseshoe bend, got as far as merthyr roundabout and it was torrential rain so thought bugger that, one of the boys from my local club went on the piston head run and flipped his AX is very lucky to be in one piece, , did the weather get any better?

As For North Wales, Do it, The EVO triangle is supposed to be the best but i found some nice roads by accident just off Rhayader through the Elan valley, some absolutely stunning picture oppurtunities up there too, anyway end of essay, next time you make your way down to wales let the south wales boys no im sure some of us will meet you and make a good day of it

He flipped it on this run? i didnt see any AX's at the Horse Shoe bend when we started.

The weather was not bad, the odd shower, but not enough to spoil the day.

Next time we head up Ill Deff post it up.
