found out the problem with my rear breaks

orderd my new discs and pads as they were grinding metal on metal. took it all apart to find that the little metal pin thing had fell out along with one of my pads so the grinding i hear was accually the caliper on the disc :S. lucky i didnt drive it as i could have really caused some damage. next thing to go wrong was the new discs. changed all the drivers side fine with no problems then on the ns all that with the pads happened then put the new disc on but wouldnt fit over the stub:( so pulled it off and half the new bearing was still on the bloody stub :mad: so i got the rest of it off, rang renault and they hadnt got any in stock and wont have till monday so i have had to put one of my old discs back on so i could get home as i was still at work and they were trying to lock up. so im again not driving the thing untill im going to work as i dont want to ruin my new pads on the old disc. bloody renaults, why is nothing strait forward.
says it all for genuine parts though doesnt it lol, they are just as bad as mickymouse parts

tell me about it, frustrating when things go wrong, i wanted to smash my car up 2day as it was going terribly wrong what i was doing. Nothing is ever straight forward working on ur own car.

Mm annoying aint they. Hope you get the parts through soon enough. My exhaust is blowing raspberries every time I even think about accelerating, my engine is held together with glue, there's a good chance my gearstick is gonna give me a deadleg the amount it's moving around and I have to pray to God that I'm allowed to use second gear; and the clutch is fooked. Giving someone a lift today and they smacked the door on to a concrete fence post.. more paint gone. My car is slowly coming to resemble a skip. :)

did mine friday night. old discs come off and new discs fitted perfect so did the pads. found out my old discs and pads went fine and had been replaced recently but they must of used the old bearings. got some spare discs and pads now anyways.

managed to get it all sorted yestaday so fingers crossed, the car will give my wallet a rest for a bit now.
