Today i decided to have a little look at my oil level as i noticed the computer level thingie was showing 4 o`s some times then 6 other times. The dip stick on the 200 is pretty wnak to be honest and i ended up trying to get a good level reading a number of times. This meant that i was cleaning the oil from the dip stick with a rag and the oil on the rag has a strong smell of fuel. Not like straight fuel smell but the only thing i can compare it to is the smell you get from the karts when go karting. Sounds silly i know, but its not a regular oil smell
.
Ive always beem taught that fuel only gets into the oil on old engines that are braking (hope thats the correct one) down or have having some seriouse issues.
I asked a couple of people at work to have a sniff and it was 50 50. Got told to stop worrying they couldnt smell fuel and others said they could smell it.
Guess its going to have to go back to the garage tommorow.
Or am i just over reacting? as i am one of these people that tries to find fault with almost anything. SOrry about the long message
