Can cruise control be fitted to a 172 cup?

On long motorway journeys it would be great as my foot starts to ache after an hour or 2!

But it will be expensive iirc.

I dont think its as simple as going to a breakers yard, and taking out the parts you need and slapping them on.

probably be cheaper just to buy a 172 with CC already.

Sure someone will confirm though. Or have a search, its been asked before.

Would be much harder (thought I don't doubt cruise could exist for the phase 1) - it's the fact that it has a throttle cable rather than drive by wire means that it'd be more than getting a the switch in the dash plugged in and approopriate sterring controls; it's need a way to module the throttle cable (usually a solenoid motor somewhere).
