New shoes (Not the usual sheep content ;))

  ?
Haven't had any recent pics of the car here and recently had my alloys powdercoated in black.

If anyone remembers them they were some chrome/black TSW and I know they wern't to everyones taste (inc mine) but imho the powdercoat has made a world of difference. So happy with how the car looks now, just needs lowering/spacers now to finish it off :)

Disclaimer - Dirty car, no tyre shine + crappy iphone camera!

Not sure if I personally like it Ahmed, maybe lowering it may make a difference. However if you like it then that's all that matters.

Look a lot better now, still not too keen.

Lowering is definitely needed though.

Deffo an improvement, however the wheels just don't suit. The lines are too harsh. Once lowered might look a bit better.

Do you guys thing sportlines on standard shocks will get a decent ride height?

If by decent you mean will it look lowered, NO! Might look 10mm lower maybe?

I'd go for the Apex 60mm Shock and spring kit. Its very cheap and very very good. Nothing like the shitty springs they do for the 172 at all.

Interesting, i know sod all about suspension, lol. When I got mine I was told it's lowered 60mm all round on springs, but with standard shocks. So if I get the updated shocks from the apex kit, will it sit lower?

Also, the wheels look a hell of alot better than they used to!

Looks better but I'd have put the money towards a different set.

That Apex kit has gone up since I got mine.

Here's a pic of the 40mm kit just so it gives you an idea.

40mm kit looks good. Won't it look the same with just 40mm springs though? I understand the ride wont be as good because of no uprated shocks
