Odd vibration sound??

On idle and up to 1 1/2k revs there is a rattle/vibration coming from somewhere in the engine as it s hard to hear exactly where abouts it is,I originally thought possibly a heat shield on the Cat or something and ive tried removing the engine cover as the noise sounds just like that rattling against the engine but still no joy!

Check alternator bolts as well, one of mine was lose and the other missing so caused a rattle like a heat shield sound

Will do as it sounds around the alternator
I ll take a look at the weekend in the light.

Checked the alternator and if you press down on it the rattling stops
It looks like there is possibly a bolt missing from underneath the alternator that may hold it in place?As there is a hole that looks like a bolt should be in it if anybody know what i mean,and if ones meant to be there any ideas what size?

Been to Renault and it is indeed a missing bottom bolt on the alternator
£4 fix so not to bad,but then when you think £4 for a bolt

(UPDATE)Fitted the bolt and rattling now completely stopped :approve:

The bolt didn t want to go in at first and i had a panic the old bolt may have sheared off inside
Thankfully not!

I have this annoying vibration/rattle approx 3k, can the missing bolt be seen from above?
