clio 172 cup or 182 cup

If I were considering a 182 Cup I'd immediatley amend that to a 182 with Cup packs. No point in missing out on the nicer interior, xenons and auto lights.

So for me it's 172 Cup vs 182 with Cup packs. Hmmm, looking at that personally I'd get the 182 with Cup packs. Obviously I'd still get the Turinis for whatever Clio I owned but having gone from a "FF spec" (Calm down Gaz I'm not calling it a 172 FF) to Cup spec and I do miss the xenons, auto lights etc. The Cup interior is also pretty dier.

He's making it into a track car though, which means the 182FF isn't really a sensible option.

Ohh yeah, I only read the first post and then wrote my reply - see what you mean.

I think I'd still opt for the FF 182 mind. Ok the air con is 30kg but there isn't a hell of a lot of other weight.

If not, just get the best you w.r to 182's be it a Cup or FF.

just out of interest, as someone who wants to get a 172 and turn it into a track car, other than ABS and AC, what is the difference. ill be stripping it out anyway.

The 172 Cup has lighter wheels, thinner windows, wider track, lower ride height, to name but a few. (compared to the 172) I'm not sure how the 182 Cup compares but the 172 Cup is the rawest of the two and the lightest.
