Not sure I could put up with it day in day out though!

I got bored of the sound on my clio! Droned like a b**ch when cruising at about 50-60 mph

What exhaust did you have on the clio?

The milltek is noisy but a nice one. Very raspy on full chat, not a droning.

I've heard that the resonating milltek is quieter than the standard exhaust.

Thats only what I've heard mind you.

Heard a supersprint exhaust, that sounds nice, expensive to buy though.

I got my milltek fitted at APS in Brackley for £410 free fitting

Or if you are near Manchester I recommend Awesome GTI.

Get the cheaper loud exhaust

I've heard about the flapper mod over on r32oc.

In a nut shell...

Theres a pipe going to your exhaust, when you get to a certain RPM the valve opens making it louder, if you pull the pipe off and put a grub screw in it, it'll keep the exhaust valve open, so it'll be louder all the time

picked up the .:R today, long journey when you're ill but well worth it.

Christ, the sound even though it's completely standard is phenomenal!

Great comfort, well built, sounds magnificent, goes well...

Love it so far. MPG wasn't toooo bad on the way home. But round town I can see it being pretty bad...lead foot FTL.

I had a miltek res on mine, the non resis too boomy and too chavvy....

Mine always used to get 18-20mpg round town driving (all I do)

But meh, they are really awesome cars, somtimes I wish I never sold mine!
