New 172 phase 1 owner :-)

Hows it going!?
just brought this phase1 41,000miles 2 previous lady owners and full service history got in for £2400 knocked him down form £3000 its got two tiny parking dints and the alloys have slight curbage and the bumper need respraying but other than that its quality! really really chuffed with it plus found out JMS is only 1.5miles dwn the road from me based at RAF northolt.
Had a mk1 before 16v carnt believe how differnt they are to drive, anyways got the usual plans coilovers, wheel refurb in gloss black, Major detailing and lots of goods form jms!

Yeah fair one on keeping the valver, but sold it before i went to afganistan,

nice 1 adam172, thinking of KTR coilovers with solid top mounts, refurb the wheels in gloss black and detail the s**t out of it!! white line arb and powerflex thebushes, but not colour codeing anything on the outside, leaving it how renault intended it! then to get the steering wheel re-trimmed and respray the silver inserts on the inside then start on the engine mods either ITB's or cammed and headwork??

yeah i agree with the wheels but for now going to try gloss black then hopfully if i can lay my hands on a set of ox f1's i'll get them refurbed and finished in silver

I looked at my car then went to look at that one, i went back to buy mine which has done 39k and is on a x plate, both cars where only 6 miles apart.

I love the ph1 to bits, only had it for 3 weeks now but only driven it 3 times or so (just a toy for me)
Make sure the bonnet catch has been changed by Renault they replaced mine last week (both bits)

yeah myn does need body work and isnt mint ive got it in for the front bumper and the parking dints while im in canada, i was after a minter as i'll be using it every day and there is no way i could keep it mint so thas why this one ticked all the right boxes! take it u were after a minter then??
As for the bonet catch do i just turn up to a renault main dealer and ask to have the bonnet catch replaced? does it cost?

Yes i wanted the best i could get, mine is just a now and again toy that lives under a proper outside car cover.
I only have it insured for 5,000 a year and i look forward to driving it, thats the way i wanted it i guess.

Give your nearest garage a call they will tell if its been done and if not then book you in, there is no charge and i waited while mine was done.

UPDATE!!

Well ive slowly been getting mr arse into gear but been crazy busy been on london public duties at buck house, st james palace and tower of london. if u were dwn i was the bald lad on guard in the blue uniform lol

Anyway, ive ad the front bumper sprayed and fitted the KTR coilovers and solid top mounts 2day, sorry about the pics messed around with the setting on my camera and the crazy + camber its being sorted this week hopfully...

Next on the cards is a 36k service, wheels refurb, full detailing and a visit to jms for either the rs2 package or the v6 induction set up!! and thats about it!

Is 36k service including all belts mate? Do you have any belt history?

Very clean and very STD, (cosmetically) as phs 1 's should be !!!

yes m8 it had it belts done at 25,000 as that was when it was its 5 years was up! the 36k service is a normal service just with the aux belt being changed!
ive got a set of brand new number plates to put on and that allim doing on the out side!!

UPDATE 2

Just a couple more pics of it after a wash! spent £££ on cleaning and detailing stuff, havnt even got round to detaling it due to the s**te weather
Is goin in for it's 36k service 2moz at a local renault specialist! oh an fitted the 8k HID's and led side lights far better then the standard lights!!! then next up is a visit to jms for the rs2 manifold
