Hello

  B5 Audi RS4
Just bought a 02 plate 172 for my other half to run about in. Its a stock car apart from air filter, cat back and Ferodo Ds2500 brake pads.

So far I think its a cracking little car, just needs more power. I love the lift off oversteer and the impressive grip for a fwd car.

Hi there ! wrong place to introduce yourself i believe, seeing the amount of reactions you're getting.

Yeah they are fun cars with good grip to throw around ! Mine has more power, made it lighter and i can really say it's a lot more fun than my former Subaru !

Have fun with the modifications ! (if there are going to be any..)

LOL, she said no.

Well, i have had it a couple of months now and apart from being a french tin shell (apart from the wings!), i think its ace! My wife has been using my RS4 so I have been driving the clio about. Only thing I hate about it is the steering wheel. Somebody before me has fitted a 1.2 wheel or something, its crap, so if there are any good 172 wheels for sale PM me.

I have remapped it and de-catted it now and the performance gains are impressive. Its the first NA car i have bothered to remap and i was shocked by the improvement, esp between 2500-3500 rpm where it used to be dead (like turbo lag). It now pulls hard all the way to 7600rpm :)

My mate owns an Audi tuning company so will be popping up to see him and putting it on his rollers to see how many ponies it is unleashing on the tarmac in the near future. Will post up the results once i have it done.

I think that the best mod on this car are the DS2500 pads. It stops so well, you can really leave the braking to the last second and even then you end up backing off the pedal. Expensive, but worth it. I reckon it would out brake my RS4 and thats got 8 pot brembos and 380mm discs
