Nice, assume they used the right tools for the cambelt? Cant see it in use there :p

Where is the second locking tool on the pully side :S Hope this hasn't been fubard mate

looking good. How hard are the exhaust surrounds to fit? I was told its more than tricky

So easy mate. There is a small 8 or 10mm bolt on the back of the exhaust piece that goes through the mount. Remove that, then just remove the 3 bolts that hold the mount to the chassis. 5 min job.

Are they a renault specialist? If not why would you not take your trophy to one! wollylol

I know what all you guys are saying but the guy that done the work was a Renault RTE for over 4 years and now is a master tech for Vw / Audi.
The timing is spot on and we used the correct timing belt tool kit from Renault as i used to work there as a delivery driver and as i say the guy that done it worked there for 4 years so we got the tools.
I am a parts manager in a Vw garage and there is 5 Renault RTE's that left renault and now work with me and they have over 40 years of french cars and cable ties.

All that needs done now is a ful service and the rear disc's & pads done as you can hear the wheel bearings in the rear when you go above 60/70mph

Fare enough he was an RTE, but it depends how much he has come into contact with these cars. It might just be forum chat, but there have been belts done wrong by renault themselves :S

Well the tool in the picture isn't a genuine one.

Were the cam pulleys removed fully, and the dephaser cleaned out thoroughly?

  Nothing at the mo :(
I understand the OP but its all good being a renault techno boy, but if your not a renault techno boy who does RS types then it might go wrong.. we are just looking out for you cause we see this soo often

Where in Scotland do you live mate?

Just checked some of your posts, can see you also live in Aberdeen. I think Ali may have seen you about as said to me the other day he saw a Trophy somewhere about.

Where was all the work done?

I've met renault techs who don't even know what the UCH is, the list goes on! Just check the "funniest thing you've been told by a dealer" thread!

However that doesn't necessarily mean the timing is out. I cant make out from the second picture whether he has the right locking tool fitted, however he's definitely slackened off the inlet cam pulley on the 6th picture, so I wouldn't give up all hope, let's just hope he's removed it and degreased it.
