4 Choices. Which one would you choose?

  BTB'd PH1 172
Right, I've got a bit of money saved up and I'm thinking spending it one of theses 4 choices :)

The 4 choices are:

1. K-tec de-cat.

2. Omp Corsica steering wheel.

3. Whiteline rear arb.

4. Eibach Sportline springs.

I really can't decide between any of them. If I had the money, I'd buy them all!! But I don't :(.

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Stay clear of apex.

alot better drop than sportlines car sits perfect on them and aslong as you dont drive in a huge pot hole they aint evn that bad and they are cheaper than sportlines but thats just imo :)

I do hope everyone on here slating APEX has acutally used them, and used similar lowering springs for comparason. otherwise youre just needlessly spouting someone elses possibly invalid opinion and doing nothing but further spreading this stigma on APEX springs

i had apex on my last clio,
theyre perfectly good springs imo,

perhaps no as good performance wise as the likes of sportlines,
a little on the crashy side
but for stance theyre great.
ive seen a lot worse springs!

personally id never bother lowering a car on such a small scale, hardly noticable.
id go for the decat first, just for that bit of noise,
followed by rear arb
then lowering
then steering wheel.

I'm not really bothered about look tbh. I'm more bothered about what will make the most positive difference to the car.

ARB then wheel for me

This guy speaks sense.

ARB will make a great difference to drive, the springs may be good but from what I hear they still eat shocks like all other lowering springs. Standard setups pretty good if you just use it on the road. If you want something a little firmer go for some 172 Cup springs as iirc they are slightly firmer.

Getting steering wheel made a big difference also for me, changed to driving a car instead of sailing the titanic!

Pop down the casino, put it all on Red, then buy both the Sportlines and the ARB :)

HAHA not a bad idea, I think I'm swaying towards ARB first, then a steering wheel, de-cat, then springs.

They all seem to be roughly the same price as well from researching various websites.

Where's the best place to get a ARB? Balance Motorsport?

id not buy any of those and either renew parts on the car already to get it tip top or save the money for decent tyres/service when it needs it. ill await a what cheap buget tyres should i get thread in a few months ; ).

But what if all that has already been accounted for?
Would be springs 1st then ARB for me.

then await till it needs servicing and tyres. like i said. lol

its all well and good putting springs and an ARB on but would make no difference if the rest of the car is like a floppy ****. thats great advice right there. ill charge next time ; ).

As said, what if he's accounted for all that? People do and then have spare cash lying round to spend on other things be it home or car etc. If he can't really afford it then fair enough your right but you don't know that....

I assume he already looks after his car, hence my advise.Might as well say make sure you put petrol in it so you can drive it.

you could but i wasnt being ridiculous . its a 10 year old car from his profile so in my experience alot more gains could be had from renwing old worn out stuff. he doesnt have to listen but i just thought id give the lad another view.

oh and here come the idiots because we didnt all agree. he's already said he can only afford 1 so either doesnt want to or have money to pour into it.

As said a few times now HOW do you know that he hasn't already accounted for all that in his budget?:S.
