Seen a 172, but is it worth the money?

How does all the cambelt stuff work, mine had it done at 38k in sept 2009 will this need doing again at 72k i presume? currently at 66k

Finally bought one today, standard 172 in Monaco Blue. I actually had a nice cup lined up, but this one came up for sale at £2000!
At first I was quite sceptical, but it turned out to be a cracking deal. I took a mechanic with me to view it, he couldn't find a thing wrong. Full service history (mostly by Renault), last serviced and MOT'd in Dec, timing/aux belts done, not a mark on it, 02, plate 87k on the clock, and the seller was a really nice genuine guy. Couldn't believe it really, he said he had it advertised for a week on ebay at £2295 but didn't get a single call...!!!
He's starting up a new business and wants a van, so had to sell the clio to fund it. Looks like he'd really loved it as it was/is in tip top condition. I've just taken the family down the beach and back for the day in it, to give a proper run, and found no issues. Well pleased. As they say, good things come to those who wait.

I'd question why it had them though, no signs that it might have been rear ended?

Monaco is the best colour though and at 2k seems like a good buy, any plans for it?

It just goes to show, don't buy the 1st. one you see and be patient. I aso think it's a nice colour, the dark colours polish up well, Enjoy your car.

He didn't know, there's no evidence of it being rear ended and the hpi was clear... can only assume it was a preference of the previous previous owner...
