belt screech when starting!

Went out for a drive last night and parked up for a chat when I started up again I noticed a screech from a belt somewhere in the bay! is this something really bad I have no idea please help. Then when driving home something metal either came from the bay and flew off or was picked up by the tyre. Stopped to look for it but could only find a bolt thread in the road with no head to it can't work out if it was from the clio as it wasn't hot even though I had been out for a good three hours! Please help guys worried to go and start it in case it is something really bad :-(

Probably your aux belt. Are the belts due to be changed?

Thats doesn't sound too bad is it a costly job or something I could do?

If your pretty handy then you could do it yourself you have to replace the tensioners too. Personally I would get a garage to fit it.

Well i'm not too bad will have to get everyone round to help. Do t know if can get a kit for it and are they much? Cheers fella

There is no kit for the Cup model... its a belt only and a 10minute job to change and you can do it without even getting on the floor.

Cheers mick yeah its a cup so its just belt off new one on? Thats perfect cheers for tin help guys
