172 Cup Decat?

Hello Everyone.

Where would be the best place to buy a decat for my 172 cup? i have a 182 scorpion system on it but i now want to take the cat out.

if anyone has one thats 2nd hand on the forum that would be help also.

I've got a silenced decat for a 172 that's for sale.

Probably best that you check if you need a decat for a 172 or 182 first though.

i did think that tbh mate, i believe i got told that the only difference between a 172 and a 182 is the exhaust? i only got it last week as i took in PX.

Is it a real 182 system with central backbox (spare wheel well removed?) or a 182 look-a-like system? Post cat flanges are normally not compatible between 172s and 182s.

no mate it has cloth interior and normal lights.

its a real 182 system as the spare wheel well has been removed.

Does it have the 182 4 in 2 in 1 manifold, too? Then you would need a 182 decat pipe as the 182 manifold is longer. If not there must be some serious welding going on your exhaust piping to make a 182 catback fit a 172 cat. Pictures from below needed!

yes it has the 182 manifold so i will need to look for a 182 decat? sorry to confuse everyone i do apologise lol should of explained myself abit clearer.

Sounds like you need a 182 decat. That's a bonus because they're cheaper and easier to fit than a 172 decat.

Serious modding going on! You need a 182 decat which is about 60 quid from k-tec.
