Is the Fiesta really? Because my VTR would stick with them to 70 all day long (granted it had been lightly fettled with breathing mod's and was stripped) and i'm certain my 172 is quicker than my VTR was.

Although as i say, the 172 is quick enough to keep me happy It's not all about the speed with the car for me.

I've heard that VTR's can keep up with them. Fiesta's are s**t car's, i've had one and would never go back.

see, its funny really, as 0-60 times have fallen out of favour.. yet are still pointed at when someone wants to show that a clio is faster than an alternative / competitive car. When it looks like the clio might be the same as or slower, suddenly 0-60 times become pointless!

yeah i've got that apart from injectors and it brings it down to about 6 (pushing about 230Bhp on a 1.8t model polo not 1.4tsi)

the new one maps to the same power as the old one around the 190-200 mark like you say

They are quick cars after abit of work, my mate has the 1.8T version, Revo map, exhaust etc etc.

It's running about 200bhp but about 300 pound feet of torque, needles to say, it goes like the clappers.

Yup, we had a bulletin from VW to look out for mapped cars, as the 7speed is not fully tested on high power yet (for false warranty claims)

personally i dont think there is an aspect of a car thats more important than your 0-60 time!! i have a copy of what car magazine to hand as i drive so when i get to a set of lights and a 2003-2005 mini cooper s pulls up beside me, i look throw the pages at the back, see that he has a 0-60 time of 7.0 seconds i then wind down my wind show the guy sat in the mini who nods in agree-ance that should we race too 60mph that i would (failing some kind of user related error) come away with a some would say substantial win over my adversary.
