March 4th 2012: Red Lion Meet @ 12:00pm

RAIN

Bad times guys. Then rain is here to stay, apparently... Gonna make for some dirty cars and poor driving conditions and I'm still short on ideas for where to go... >.<

My only thoughts were to blast the country roads until we come across somewhere to park before departure. This weather isn't selling it to me...

Thoughts??

Could do the A519 to Eccleshall then onto Stoke and then we're at J15 of the M6 so makes it easier for people to head home...I'd just turn round and head back the same way :race: ;)

I'm not fussed about the rain. It's not going to affect our food is it ;-)

I like that, first things first hahaha.

The sun is coming out. Time to clean the car!

I've heard that tomorrow is going to be grim.

MOTORING GODS! WHY DO YOU SPITE US!?

The Eccleshall run is a good one...roads varying from NSA (60) down to 30 through little villages.

I've done the run a fair few times, so there will probably be traffic on there. but its still not a bad run and has some good scenery if people fancy it. :)

It's going to be good either way. I missed out on the sun as I've been over fort Dunlop shopping :-/

Fingers crossed I get a brief bit of sunshine tomorrow morning to clean car. If not. It's not the end of world.

I hope everyone turns up and no1 sacks it off with the weather!

You heard me :-)

Really looking forward to this tommorow keeping my fingers crossed with the weather just gave the clio a nice bath today :)

Haha, if only. There's bound to be a few cancellations. :(

The convoy down the the Red Lion is way bigger than I thought it would be. I honestly thought there'd be four of us - I'm quite pleasently surprised haha. I'm really looking forward to the drive there. :)

This is our route. I'm not 100% familiar with it, but as some of us have sat navs, it shouldn't be too hard.

Renault Cannock to the Red Lion Route

Hopefully, know one gets left behind. I'm thinking those with sat navs, have them on, and be distributed through the pack. This'll help us if we get done by traffic lights, roundabouts, etc.

Tom i know this route very well (even know where the pot holes are) its where i go for a sunday afternoon blast to chester zoo and back and its an awesome road! favoured by motorbikers coming at you on your side of the road!

alot of lorry and tractor traffic on this road so keep your eyes peeled

Oh dear, girls and fast cars eh! Or should that just be cars in general LoL!

Glad your both coming anyway, keeps my missus occupied :)

Don't talk to me about springs....Mine was meant to be sitting on Eibach Sportlines as of today but Fred's suppliers didn't fancy delivering them!

I filled up on wednesday. Got half tank left, after letting my dad have a blast in it, Some training in Stafford and back, merry hill last night and fort Dunlop today :-/

So going to top up with fuel tomorrow.

And side note with my dad having a drive. Lol

He was giving it a fair bit and kept changing gear just before 5k. And his views then was it was quick.
I said give it some. See what happens at 5k.

So on he went. 2nd gear, floored it, got to 5k, and his words were 'oooo I like that!'

Haha. Bless. I'm trying my best to talk him into buying one, either a 172 or 182.
He's currently got a sports tourer motorbike and it's up for sale, that's worth 6k, so he could get a hell of a 172/182 for that with change after insurance.

Strip it out. Bit of a project/toy for summer.

Sorry for being off topic.

Anyway, tomorrow shall be really good. I wonder if any staff at Renault will pop out to say hello.

I won't be there tomorrow guys, had a late night. Didn't want to just not turn up, so thought I'd write on here. Hope you all have a good time though. :)
