Hi all, im wondering if someone could give me the proper name for this part, and tell me where i could get it fitted?

ive just been in an spoken to quick fit but they dont have anything in stock and would be next weekend before i could get it fixed.

im talking about the 2 spring bolt things on the joint between the manifold and CAT.

my current ones are loose and too rusted to tighten.

car is a 2003 172.

thanks, Liam

  DON'T SEND ME PM'S!!
It's a cat to manifold fitting kit. If it's loose, the gasket is worn out. Don't use cheap shite fitting kits. I keep them on the shelf. They're £25 + postage

Renault, as with pretty much anything "these days," just seems to depend on who you talk to. There's been people on here who've been told "I'm sorry sir but you must be mistaken, the clio never came with a 2.0L engine" likewise my local Renault have always been fine. And if they didn't know of something, they were good enough at using the system to search for it. This is turning into a bit of a rant at those who rant at Renault, but I can forgive someone who was 12 at the time of release for not knowing that xenon washer jets were RS specific as long as they can still find the part on their system.

/Rant

OT: Yes they should know what you mean. They'll still ask for your reg and go through the normal process though. They're fairly common after all. Lots of mild "horror story" threads on poor quality non-Renault gasket kits. Whilst you're there try to claim your free/warranty/recall bonnet catch replacement if it hasn't been done (srs). May as well.

Whut? :l

I was meaning, would they know what the ppart is or would it be easier to just get the part number.

What does someone being 12 have to do with my exhaust system? haha

Thanks though.
