Another 3 month wait for 200 :-(

After a very tense 3 month wait from having been ordered, I got a call from Renault last week about my RB 200. As you can imagine, very excitedly answered the phone expecting 'you can come collect it at weekend'... Instead I got 'there's a bit of a problem, your car has been written off'!

Apparently it hadn't been secured properly whilst in transit and suffered damage to the chassis, writing it off before it ever had a chance to be driven. Turns out a few other cars on the same container were also smashed to bits. Unfortunately means another 3 month wait for another one to be built, also means no RS200 for CSS which is probably the most gutting part of it all.

So that was my weekend news.

IIRC Harphams RB was damaged in transit too.

My order was f**ked up and instead of waiting for a new order they sourced a car from another dealer for me. It came with Storm Grey paint and black roof FOC. They also chucked in a pile of other stuff FOC.

That's it, from what the rep had said it sounded like they were looking to repair the ones simply cosmetically damaged... I really wouldn't have been too happy (read: f@&king fuming) about that!

I'm waiting on a call back from RUK about it, probably no discount, but if they can chuck in a few extras it'd be the least they can do!

This a shocking display of customer service to simply say "sorry its written off you'll have to wait longer" Depending on the spec of your new 200 your spending close to 19k on this car!!!! I'd jump up and down a bit and demand some serious freebies!!!

Thanks for the advice on gunning for more, it wasn't a massive spec (Cup+), but could end up being now! Might be pushing it bit asking for a 250, a 192 demo car for the day would a step in the right direction for CSS!
