Ah bonsoir! Thought I'd make a little project thread to keep track of what I've done with the car so far. I've got a Arctic 182FF owned it since feb2012 and love it to bits, such a great car, a nice step up from my MK5 ZS. Anyway here's a pic of it when I first bought it;

Then I just enjoyed it for a week or two and then started to get the urge to start tinkering with it lol, so my first purchase Along with stronger exhaust mount.

Then I dug out my pro races wrapped in some paradas and put them on along with some apex springs, the apex was only a cheap alternative until I could buy better. But it does make it sit nicely tbh. Some new number plates from fancyplates. Then I spent the day giving it a clean and ripped my tints out!

To this;

Then I splashed out on a major service, cambelt, dephaser, aux belt and to have all my suspension powerflexed along with the lower gearbox mount

Then I managed to strike a deal for some turinis, I had to give him my 182 cup alloys and just meet him half way near nottingham.

From that to;

So happy with them! Then my car strike it's milestone;

And then I took delivery of;

Buckenham blasters, near beccles mate. Their really good and the filled all the kerbing and smoothed it off. I got them done for £40 a wheel at mates rates, I could have word for you if you want?

Would be appreciated, £40 a wheel is good if they have filled in kerbing and sanded off (that's what i'll need doing) that's good value. I can do all 8 wheels without tyres for them.

Yeah I'll have a word for ya on Monday mate. PM me and remind me if you don't hear from me lol yeah that's I what I did just gave them the alloys and left, they bubble wrap them all up aswell so u won't ruin them when transporting them back, nice touch I thought.

Not really a massive update but this weelend I made a few more new editions to the car had my new turinis wrapped in the federal RSR's and fitted them, popped to work and picked up my H&R springs, and set about trying to sort my sloppy gear linkage. And then the obvious saturday clean...

And then I popped up to the services just outside Huntingdon this morning and met Jamest87, really nice guy by the way, and picked these up

I never stopped at a BP lol but I did drive the full length of he A14 today...yawn! and havet really tested them too much as been checking the wheel nuts as the wheels been powdercoated etc.

Just wondered what Turini's you have? Are they the 172 Cup offset of ET38.5 or the Trophy offset of ET45?

Ive got 172 cup ones mate. yeah it is! not been too bad so far, doesnt owe me as much as my ZS did lol

No rubbing issues at all? Heard they can be a problem if you don't run camber bolts. Only asking cos I'm trying to decide which ones I can have on mine with no problems

now you say it, I have developed a new noise on full lock but not any other time.

That'll be the arch liner then. You can bend the bracket back a bit that holds it on to give the wheel a bit more clearance. Cheers for the info bud!

Cheers dude, haha! I'll be moving on to the engine bay after I've fitted the vibratechinics, and I now have to buy some new top mounts, still deciding what brand to go for.

I rate them highly mate! Not crashy compared to the apex had on this previously and I have been in a 182 with eibachs also and I still think their better and cheaper! And I sold them buddy.

Yeah lol and you get more of a drop aswell I thought but haven't seen mine next to one with eibachs though yet. If you want some I can see how much I could do some through work for ya then call your local euro branch for ya see what I could do?

how much did you pay for yours? yeah if you could find out mate that would great. I had my heart set on the cooksport springs as they've got great feedback and there really cheap. However they haven't replied to one email or PM and i can't seem to find a phone number for them.

Ye they are stacked up in my garage awaiting use, using my Turinis for everyday wheels.

Not sure when and where as yet, gunna try for Snet 300 around March time I have a few little bits I wanna do to mine as well before then.

Basically the guy I got the wheels off, his mate thought it would be a good idea to plastidip one in red :-/ that soon come off when I had them refurbed and powder coated
