2003 1.2 16v clio induction kit problem! Help me someone

Hi Everyone,
Right I have been told by a local garage I can't fit am induction kit because there isn't a pipe from the engine it's just the filter box, is this true????? If not how can I fit an induction kit because I've seen them for sale for my car????? Would much appreciate someone's time?

This is not true, K&N ones deffo fit.

EDIT: I'm guessing your's is a PH2 engine so you will need one with an adapter plate like this:

No problem Tbh I've never fitted one my self, but couldn't imagine it to be too hard. Just bolt the mount onto the top of the existing air box. Then use supplied zip ties to fit everything else. K&N come with good instructions anyway: http://www.knfilters.co.uk/instructions/57-0412_inst.pdf
