Another coilover thread!

Hi all..
Yes, another thread about coilovers!

Basically looking for fast road and then a few trackdays per year.

I've been looking at the AP coilovers on the Larkspeed website, i've not seen many people talking about them on here, so has anyone got them/know what they're like?

Budget is £500 and i don't want any s**t thats going to be bouncing around all over the place either!

So, what would you suggest?

Thanks :)

If you're on a budget of £500 i'd get springs and shocks tbh.

Failing that the bilsteins are great but heard they aren't the best on track due to quite a bit of roll.

SECOND HAND FK KONIGSPORTS OR BISLTEINS I think I said.

Bilsteins are fine on track also, I have them on my car and still manage to embarrass people with their 'mega spec trackcars'. Granted they have a bit of roll but if you want compliance on the road then that's the trade off. Still mega fun on track none the less.

Im not really after a second hand set. Wouldnt want to be buying a set for hundreds of pounds for them to break with no warrenty!

Thanks though

Buy new cooksport springs and new cup dampers if you cant afford proper coilovers.

Most Coilovers are designed for track us only not road use so good luck getting warranty when the break after hitting a pot hole.

I've bought plenty of second hand FK Konigsports and all been fine. Doesn't cost much for a rebuild anyway but they're the sturdiest and long lasting set of Coilovers I've ever owned, one set lasted 30k plenty of Trackdays and I still sold them on!

This man knows.

I got the last set of Konigsports that went for sale on here a few weeks ago (sub £500 delivered too :) ) just seen them when I was pricing Koni shocks & Cooksport springs

Will report back what they are like by the end of this month :)

I don't think they were Tigger.

Never had to have any rebuilt due to the excellent quality but places will do them.

You'll be glad to know they're going to be cleaned, white greased and fitted onto another Monaco then ;)

Ive just ordered a set of FK KONIG SPORTS, I was in the same situation, didnt want to spend over £600 but found the FK's at euro performance direct at good price so bit the bullet. Couldnt see any in the original budget any good, unless its just stance you are after.

I cant buy the FKs new so i'd need to wait untill theres a set for sale which isnt exactly good.

In a bit of a hurry to get these apex s**t springs off the car!
