197/200 Steering Wheel in a 182

Hey guy,

Looking at changing my steering wheel for a 197/200 item. I know they can be fitted but are there any additional things you need to buy to make them fit?

also if someone has made a guide for fitting one too would be helpful.

Their definetly is a few people on this forum who have done it, I've seen it come up a few times, unfortunately I can't remember who but if you have a search I'm sure your find some info...


iirc it's a bolt on job, not too difficult, just got to solider a coupe wires for the horn I think as they have different connectors.

I think the only issues is for the first few weeks of fitting the wheel doesn't central return as smooth due to it rubbing the steering shroud, but that soon goes away.

I fitted one the wiring is fiddly for the cruise control.
And when you fit will be stiff to turn for a few weeks

Have you any photos of it bud? Is it quite literally remove the old and replace with new and solder some wires up?

ive fitted one to mine. wiring i found fairly easy to do, just solder to wires together
