Nissan Skyline R32 GTR

So about a month ago I found myself looking at RX-7's. I remembered that Gaz on here had a project thread for his old one, which naturally led me to his current project. Fast forward to last week, I've sold the S2000 and I am driving this home;

I only have a handful of iPhone pictures so far. It has a reasonably cool spec, which I'll add later, namely an Apexi Power FC mapped to 0.9bar of boost and roughly 400bhp. However I've not driven it much yet as I've spent the past week changing fluids, plugs, comp testing, tidying niggles and hunting for the cause of numerous weird and wonderful noises. I've got loads to do but I'll get there - I'm loving it so far.

P.S. I am aware how bad the chrome on the Buddyclub wheels looks - it's about 1/3 of the way down on the To Do list!

Think you just pissed on his parade, looks a nice motor.

Look forward to seeing the spec.

I doubt it, clean fresh imports FTW. Mine has been in the UK since 2011.

The S2000 was a great car, pretty sure I'll have one again. There was no reason to sell it other than fancying a change. Here's the last picture I took of it looking standardish awaiting it's new owner;

Nice cars!!!

A mate of mine has this as his weekend toy, running for now just over 600bhp at the moment. But it's going in to r&b Motorsport soon for the 2.8 conversion!

The wheels on the above are 19s!
It's probably just the angle of the picture cos it looks fine up close!

Te amount of money he has ploughed into it is approaching 100k now! It's crazy!!
Bare metal respray and various panel replacements is booked in for over winter at a cost of 7k!

What is it with British folk, jap car and black wheels with a polished lip. Every Surpa/Skyline I see has shat spec wheels!

Nice bus though mate!

That's awesome! I loved the S2000 so this will be something else when you have ploughed some money in to it.

Nope, just back to standard white!! The cost of the panels is horrendous!! It needs a new boot lid as they are prone to rust round the brake light, that's £700 straight away!

Its having the proper job though, engine out, subrframe off and treated... It won't need any work doing to it again for a long time!

Nice one and best colour in White!!
I had one about 10 years ago so I'll tell ya what I know from my experiences...

Apparently there's an issue with the oil pump on the R32 whereby when you max out 4th gear the Oil pump struggles to keep up so it can starve the big end :\
Keep all the fluids topped up especcially the diff one in the boot!!

Check to see if the rear steer has been disconnected and 'shimmed-up' apparently they drive better on the '32's without the rear steer!??
Speedo's can stick on them which is a fluid issue...If the Clutch pedal is mega heavy to push the servo's goosed
Other than that if you've got 'steel turbos' and exhaust filter and decent remap they are absolutley Hilarious!! :)

Maybe he should get some of these fitted whilst he's got the subframe off.
