There are 2 big bungs on the floor pan underneath that are removable for access to seat bolts. Check to see if they are there as water could get in very easilly!

Recently had my 02 172 of the road for a bit of an engine overhaul and new gearbox fitting. Car was running fine before it came of the road and the only problem was the gearbox. Got the engine in and went to start it and now it appears to be only running on 3 cylinders missing and backfiring...

What offset are the wheels they sit perfectly!!

Can anyone help! I was pulling out of petrol station in 1st and give it a bit then went for 2nd and there was no drive. No bangs or crunches from the box?? I tried to put it into every gear and it was the same. Clutch also feels fine. Cheers AL

Use a small ammount of oil on new seal when fitting and if you are having any difficulty removing the original use x2 self tapping screws either side of the seal screwed in a few threads and wiggle out with fingers or pliers. Al
