The 172 makes my old 10 year old Corrado VR6 seem like a ford transit. The VR6 was so heavy and it wallowed round corners and the brakes were pathetic. Sure it was VERY fast but didnt corner and didnt brake. The 172 is so light and corners much better so Im a happy bunny.
btw - do you...
I went to pick up my new 172 yesterday and noticed the Clio V6 wasnt in the showroom. The missus asked if theyd sold it and then the story unfolded. Someone phoned for a test drive so one of the salesmen went to put some petrol in but never made it back. Hes apparantly lost control "somehow"...
A 6 week wait but it was well worth it in the end. Picked it up last night and everything seems ok (fingers crossed) but the fuel consumption has only been about 26mpg for the 50 miles weve done and that includes at least 20 miles of dual carriageway... maybe things just need to loosen up...
Nice one. I nearly bought an ex-demo red one but the chick wanted a silver one which we pick up in two hours!!!!!!! So you can imagine how I feel right now.
Im getting my 172 on thursday *fingers crossed* and live about 50 miles along the coast from you. This first three days of this week are going to take FOREVER!
Well all be expecting a nice picture of you stood next to your 172 in the next couple of days. You may as well take a picture of your dads R34 while your at it too.
This is the sort of raffle you see in airports. You buy a ticket for £50 for a chance to win a ferrari and they expect up to a couple of thousand people to buy one (business travellers mainly)
A good idea but only for people with high disposable incomes.
Well you look about 17. The older I get , the younger younger people look *sigh* Im 29 btw. My silver 172 arrives a week today so fingers crossed the dealer doesnt delay things.
Nope, I just cant face buying such a poorly designed piece of sh1te. Why do all Alpine head units looks the same and have half the fascia covered in buttons? And then theres the display. Talk about cram it all in. Nope, Alpines were designed for "Gary boys" with no research done on the UI...
