I went to pick up my new 172 yesterday and noticed the Clio V6 wasnt in the showroom. The missus asked if theyd sold it and then the story unfolded. Someone phoned for a test drive so one of the salesmen went to put some petrol in but never made it back. Hes apparantly lost control "somehow"...

A 6 week wait but it was well worth it in the end. Picked it up last night and everything seems ok (fingers crossed) but the fuel consumption has only been about 26mpg for the 50 miles weve done and that includes at least 20 miles of dual carriageway... maybe things just need to loosen up...

esure.com will only insure me (29 will immaculate record and 5Y NCB) on a 172 when I hit 30. I currently pay £479 with Direct Line and they are similar to esure when I hit 30 being £415.

The Corrado can pull off in 3rd and do about 105. Thats a LONG gear. I also like the clio 4th gear. I think the Corrado is usually going too slow for the gear. Eg, accelerating at 80 in 5th is ok but it does really start pulling hard until you hit 105. I found I was usually in a more...
