the fuel rail is just what the injectors clip to! there looks like there is something missing on gearbox side but thats how they are. the coolant temp sensor is in the block its self! green i think and theres also a sensor on the thermosat housing. i know its a shot in the dark but try...

also did you set the gaps on the plugs right before fitting?

the plug leads should have numbers on them which should match up with the numbers on the coil pack and dont forget number 1 spark plug is gearbox end! coolant temp sensor can also cause overfuelling
