Gggrrrrhhhhh...... This car is testing my patients!
After fitting the new injector parts i drove the car on Saturday and it was great, very responsive, loads of power - a really, really nice drive.
My brother took it to his work yesterday and it drove fine.
Went to take it for it's MOT today...

TBH i hadn't realised that you couldn't just put an advert in the classifieds section of this forum without paying some fee's.... Having just just checked though, i see what you mean.

So i put her on PH - I think i'm not being unreasonable with the asking price...
Went to give the car a bit of a run today as its been standing around in all this wet weather for 2 weeks and is due an MOT tomorrow.... It started fine, then about 5ins into the drive it developed a big misfire...
My basic fault code reader says:
P0203 injector circuit open cylinder 3
P0443...
The car will be sold with the wheel and the ducts..... Even if i were keeping her, i wouldn't have the time or inclination to source the original parts and change them over.
And i think thy suite the cars 'cup' character.
My brother found the time to give the car a clean today..... Its come up really nice, hopefully the MOT will be drama free and i can get her up for sale....
Ok, went down and bought the car - me and my brother just chipped in half each (decided we will sell on)....
My fault code reader showed one error code only, which was P0443 (Evaporative Emissions System (EVAP)??
Anyway - cleared the code and re started, ran the car and it has not returned...
Well, i am going to have a look at the car tomorrow - I'm lucky enough to be able to get the keys and drive it, before i commit.
I have a 'basic' OBD2 scanner - like this one...

As a new owner, I'm scratching my head as how to get the auto wipers to work?
What position do I need to leave the stalk in? it maybe that I have a problem as I tried most/all positions and nothing seems to happen automatically (normal wiper speeds work, but I can't seem to get intermittent...
I don't think you'll find selecting 3rd and 4th gear at 2000rpm as red lining the car. But i'll use 2500 and maybe upto 3000rpm whilst i'm running the car upto temp and there is a totaly noticable, hesitation in the cars ability to rev/drive smoothly at 2000-2300rpm when cold. I would say it...
my car feels nice in a strait line, push hard, or more to the point 'lift off' when attacking a bendy road, and the back of the car is very mobile indeed.... Its one of the things that made me take a real shine to it :race:
