Thanks, I'll have a look at the earths at the weekend. i was seeing about 14v at idle and higher revs, think this seems ok? Although I measured across battery, should I be measuring at the alternator itself?

Hi folks, I was hoping someone on here might be able to help as I'm having some serious issues with my electrics/warning lights.... car is a Ph1 172 with RS tuner map It started about 3 or 4 months ago when my head lights went out completely and a number of lights flashed up on the dash but...

"No,new as in new to me,it was serviced by the seller this morning and he had the bonnet up infront of me so im not sure how it could have snapped in that time?" I'm guessing if the guy already had the bonnet up when he got there then he looked in the engine bay then.......

I'm hopefully going to be looking at a 04 182 with 34k miles on it. The guys wanting 6k for it, but it's not had the belts done yet. It's got a FSH though! I was thinking it must be worth around the 5k mark?
