Hi Guys
I am in the process of removing the upper inlet manifold/plenum from my 182 to paint it.
A couple of the pipes at the back by the throttle body are quite difficult to remove and I do not want to break them. They are pictured below:
The pipe to the left moves freely around with a...
Loved that replica and gutted for you having put so much effort into the car for it to have been undone by someone like that.
I guess there will be a new project starting with the DCI.
I use Toyo R1R's on the track and found them great in the wet and good in the dry and would recommend.
Interesting to read above that they are no longer available in the U.K.
Not used them but looking at kits myself as intending a set for my 182 and did see these.
Sure they are fine but might be worth checking out JJC race and rally as they are a bit cheaper, free postage and I have always had great service.
I've got m1144 on my 182 with Brembo HC discs and ATE super blue fluid.
Iv done approximately 8000 road miles, a trip to the ring and 5 track days on them and found breaking to be excellent on the road, good on track for a few laps then the heat seems to tail off performance but still work...
Toyo r1r on track for me, found them good in wet and dry and much cheaper than r888.
Also use t1r on road a couple of track days and found them to be pretty good also.
First track day - as said before just get out there and have a go, you will have enough grip for some fast laps with decent road...
They are good on the track straight out the box.
Just cover the basics, good brake pads, discs and tyres and change all fluids and make sure the car is in good order all over.
Spend the rest of your money on track time and enjoy, so much fun on track!
Hi
Update.
Whilst no replies I think if I have got it sorted.
I put a pressure gauge on it and had good readings of over 15psi on tick over and over 45psi at 3k so all good there.
The oil pressure sensor was a bit oily and past it's best so I suspect it is only that. I'll get it changed and...
Hi Guys
A problem has started to occur on my 05 182. Any help appreciated.
I have a 7 mile drive to the train station each morning and pretty much as I arrived today the oil warning and stop lights came on. This was a surprise as the normal oil level approval flashed on the dash as I set...
Used the r1rs today at a wet donington where they performed really well. Managed to hold on to a Quattro tt and an evo 7 through the bends. They did still start to slide at times but that was probably more my driving. The tyres will probably do better once worn a little.
If dry I think the...
Just ordered a set of r1r for my 15" track wheels. Will be on the car tomorrow and on track Sunday. I'll let you know how they do but I expect good things from them.
