As has already been said, this car in standard form ceratinly isn't for you mate. BUT, if you have 2k to chuck at it for a TBE, CAI, Fuel pump and remap it's a totally different animal. Sound awesome, drive in comfort still and run 12 sec 1/4's all day long..
Yeah but when you do it's sooooooooooooooooooooo good.. lol
The standard GTI (197bhp) doesnt exactly have tarmac rippling power, no. But if you want more then go for either the Edition 30 or Pirelli (230bhp) which is the same as the likes of the R26 etc, so not under powered. Plus if you want...
Ha.. Depends who's asking? lol
Saw the forum stickers when following you mate. Use to be on here all the time so thought i'd pop back to he who it was.. lol
Not sure about the bonnet on the Golf, but the black Monza alloys are spot on. Wanted them myself, but begrudged paying £1200 without tyres!!!
Look so much better in 3dr trim too..
Would of had them sprayed mate, but got a good price for them and just don't think white and silver go. If I had got red or black, I would have probably kept them on. But i've always loved the Pro Race 1.2's and they are a good 5kgs lighter per rim then the standards..
Cheeky mare.. lol...
Sold the wheels mate..
Was on the verge of going for the S3 too.. But with my budget, it was either a highly specced ED30, or a bog bog standard S3 (and I would of soooo needed the buckets and nav)..
Won't be bothering with sticky rubber mate. But back seats out and few more miles on the old girl and I reckon she might crack the 12's.. We'll see!
