i have had bad experiences with renault watford......
they told me that my diff was locking up and that i needed a graebox rebuild. 6 months down the line and had no problems of the sort.
aparently my car geometry was out after i bought it second hand so the warranty people did something to the suspension to stop the car crabbing (which was overheating the rear bearings and discs)..
my question is, will lowering my car 40mm undo all the work that has been done? was gonna get...
the standard changer will not work with ANY aftermarket head units.
you can get one of the new model alpine head units and a steering wheel stalk and display adaptor so that you can have the screen and the steering remote working.
crossovers under the dash (under the dials, theres a big space), amp in the boot (was thinking about putting the amp under the passenger seat but it wouldnt fit!)
turns out it was a loose earth connection to the fuse box on the left hand sidew of the dash.... I backtracked all that i had messed about with and eventually found the problem.... whod have thought that it would cause such strange things to happen to my car! I would have thought things would...
ok, heres the story....
u might have read my last post about wiring an alpine HU, but i was also wiring in a new set of front comps too.... Im half way through the install and have completed the following....
1) tweets mounted under dash and wired them using mew cable to the crossovers, 2)...
the fag lighter isnt live when the engine is off, just tried that with my multimeter.
where would i find the heated rear window wires on a 52 plate clio? from the back of the fuse box? surely that isnt live either when the engine is off? Im assuming the head unit needs a constant 12v even...
does anyone know if it is possible to connect an alpine 9812rr up to to a 12v source behind the dash rather than having to run a cable to the battery. i dont have a fuse wire to go to the battery and cant get to a shop to get one cos my car is in bits.....
any ideas would be great!
Thanks...
