Cheers, seeing as my Sky package is close to £120 a month with BB & that’s not the best.
£150 seems a bargain, seen it working & interface is very easy & clear

They're all usually based on smarters, I use Tivimate personally as it had the nicest interface, and one of the providers I have uses a cracked version of that.l (I have a legit sub)

Most common is XC actually.
However plenty out there, many subs dont give the URL/DNS out so if they dont, let me know ill sort you out to get a normal app like tivimate or such etc.

Two months in & cannot wait to put through the full package cancellation to Sky.

Currently a company are pulling ropes through all the pavement boxes ready for fibre.

My place can get 2.5GB for 40 pm.

Virgin is getting kicked soon as that contract is out.

The inspection was a while back, then another team pulled ropes through & last week the black fibre cables were done.

The Openreach site still has no firm date, just build in process

As if cityfibre you wont find it on OR website, they have 0 control over it, so its even better.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Select.

Purchase with extreme caution!!!

This is their new Vega OS (which is not android) but Linux based.

There currently is NO applications been developed for alternative viewing "apps" shall we say for now on this version.

Do not purchase if you wish to use the device for the free apps within this thread!

Hmmm, bought one the other day and managed to install a side app for my dodgy box. You just need to press the select button 6 or 7 times to enable developer options

Its me again, with the audio lag....again.

Im beginning to realise this is a bit of a strange one. Ive done some more digging and this was after help from @rctempire (thanks again!)

If I use any app, other than 'my app', it doesnt have any audio lag. Youtube, Netflix etc etc, all fine.

However, with 'the app', it lags like crap. Its a way off and it drives me mad.

Interestingly, if I turn off my soundbar, and use the crap tv speakers, its flawless. So, all eyes point to the soundbar, or tv sound settings maybe?

Can anyone help?

Install VLC for Fire (yep its vlc but on firestick) directly from the amazon store.

Then on the app you have, ill presume its XC rebranded, go to Settings, Player Type, swap the Movies and VOD(Or Series) to External Player/VLC.

Then when you are playing the item, pause and go to bottom and swap the audio delay forward or backwards in MS.

Generally just moving to VLC will sort the issues for VOD mostly.

If I watch through the dedicated channel app it’s ok.
Here I’m watching channel 4 or 5 I can’t remember.

@Sash Do you have an option to download another app?

Ive had to download a few now, when they break or just wont boot.

That said, ive never been overly happy with any of the apps to be honest. They all seem to have their flaws in one way or another. My current one is a bundle of laughs: It wont allow me to favourite things. My 'recent watched' shows 3 copies of movies/series I watched months ago with no way of updating them.

Then again, at least im not forced to listen to homes under the hammer

Sounds like a poorly rebranded application.

If you know the dns/url you can always use an unbranded application and avoid all the "app needs changed" rubbish.

I use MYTVOnline3 on a Formuler box and it’s so much more enjoyable than any of the Firestick apps I tried.
