    Mine is 1.5bar when warm 80degs, and around 3.0bar at 3000rpm. Think this is somewhere near what it should be.

    Just re-read your first post and you do have a whirring noise, it seems to me that the nut is loose! Tighten it otherwise it will cause more damage!

    I think the plasticiser content of the paint gives it a flexible skin so it is less prone to flaking off. All it means is that he can fob you off because he hasnt got an oven to bake the bumpers in after he has sprayed them. ALWAYS GET THEM CURED IN A OVEN!!!
