ChavyBoy,
We are having a works do there all day in the 90mph Thundercarts, probably finish around 3.30ish. Do the general pub banter afterwards for a bit then its off to the seafront..fancy joining me on route??
Yip, Ill be there. Coming from Buckmore park in da area massive! (Sorry). Will be on mi tod if anyone fancies joining up for the ride under the tunnel.
OK, Ill leave the pub and head straight for Ikea. If Im not there dont worry just leave when you have to and I will catch u down the seafront. Reckon the chances of meeting Jim will be V.slim so its probably best if I try and meet u all at Ikea. But if you see a mint Willy 2 then give me a wave!

This could cost a small fortune!! I have the entire model of the V6 in CAD data so could design you a perpex cover and get it made. However the properties of such a cover would be quite a challenge, for a start it has to deal with the high temp of the engine and over time this would suffer from...
And what the hell is that interactive driver thingy...a voice that screams at you when you are approaching a bend at more than 10mph??? Or does the car start falling to bits when you go over any pot holes?? It could be a great car but due to the dull image it has now nobody will want to find out!!

It is a really funny site to see, a penny pinching sod that has to get out of their car at every car park ticket machine when its peeing it down. Makes me chuckle every time!!
You seem pretty keen on this so go for it. As i said earlier I wouldnt but then again I am not you. As long as it is well protected from damage then I cant see it been a problem. I have never fitted a element on the end of a long pipe before, for the dusty rallies I always have a long duct...

The approach I took on my Willy was to use some exhaust wrap and cover the manifold completly. It now takes quite a long time for it to get super hot under there, plus it aids getting rid of the gases by keeping them hot and free flowing.
The only issue I can see is all the sh*t and muck it...

Well if you can only afford a second hand 172, then for the same price you are looking at other cars that will be ragged to an inch of their life. Go with your first instinct..always.

You can take the seat covers off and put them through a delicate wash cycle (your mum will show you how to use the washing machine ) just gotta be careful undoing them and putting them back on again.
