^^ Yep mine fell off. Made of Kit Kat wrappers I think
Dude you have a lot of questions!
This one would be better in Tuning and Mechanical ;)
You won't lose power with a decent system, should gain a tad
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder ;)
Ok, I'll get drawn into the debate then......
Personally I'm not a big fan of the 182 style alloys. Although they are better than the 172 five-spokes which are truly gash IMHO.
I doubt a 172 Cup handles massively better than a 182 with cup pack...
Think this is caused by a nut catching somewhere on the front suspension (I don't understand all the in's and out's of it I'm afraid :o )
Renault know about the problem and offer a 'fix' which involves grinding down something to stop it catching - this can lead to problems with corrosion...
In the past year I've driven a couple of hire cars; a small Citroen and a Fiesta. Both very new. Both had stupidly light controls IMO; felt awfull to drive.
Think you answered your own question there mate. Its all in the context - 30 zones are generally residential; so breaking the limit poses more of a risk to others than on a DC / rural A road etc, and is therefore frowned upon more. (I assume this dice between the Coupe and Clio turbo did not...
LOL
I've burst cans of beer stored in the passenger foot well twice now :o They seem to knock into each other too hard on roundabouts. Learnt my lesson now - keep em in the doors where they can't roll around ;)
Can't say I've noticed the left wheel spinning up that much easier. But it is more prone to locking than the right, so it blatantly has less grip in most situations.
Does it occur around 4000rpm? Kinda really buzzy noise, more noticable on over-run?
If so sounds like dreaded 4k rattle. Common fault. Suggest you do a search.
Can be due to a loose heat shield on the exhaust, but there are other causes.
Surprised Renault did'nt solve it if they went to...
Re: Best comment from your local Renault dealer ever
Me too. It was the previous owner who took it to a Renault dealership for the 36k. I had the 48k done at Rentec. Just glad I did'nt find out too late. Cannot believe how ignorant of their own servicing schedules they are!
Re: Best comment from your local Renault dealer ever
Not from my local dealer, but:
"No sir, the auxiliary belt does not need to be changed on 172's until the 72k service"
:banghead:
Free popcorn!! (I don't even like it that much)
It is fecking steep I know. But I think it would be quite cool to see it on the big screen. No ad breaks will be a bloody novelty too!
Come on Ralphy ;)
Vue are showing the British GP at select cinemas across the country.

Its £15! But that includes 'free' F1 program plus drink and popcorn.
Intro by Murray Walker...
Its not the end of the world.
I ..er....modified mine :o Been driving around without it for 2 or 3 months no problem.
Extra weight saving. I can feel the difference ;)
