Er.....hand brake turn anyone?!
If you're that worried you could always park the car in gear rather than on the handbrake. Thats what I do, as I found the rear brakes were bonding slightly if they were wet when I parked up - no big deal just bugged me.
Gutted mate. I had a similar incident a few years ago in my parents Astra - good hit from a Honda CRV in the passenger door; only time I ever achieved oversteer in that car!
Personally I've never used 95 so I can't say if it does make a difference or not. I have used Tesco 99 once though - mpg was appalling, swear I could see the fuel gauge moving at one point!
LOL
SarahSarah - for the sake of one potential emergency fill up I would'nt worry about it. Just use whatever 'Premium' fuel is to hand. Some people run their RS Clios on 95 all the time.
Ha ha! Really?
I thought about asking Matt if he wanted to come out to play last night too (did'nt bother in the end as it was a bit last minute)
Dan and I had a good run
Idling around 1100rpm is normal from cold start mate - its a fast idle to get things warmed up I think.
I would'nt worry about it not starting first time either if its not a regular thing. Mine sometimes does not start first time when its hot (say when leaving a petrol station after filling...
In gear times better perhaps?
Probably did'nt 'smoke them' from a standing start - Aston and Porsche would lose the advantage of better traction from a standing start.
So it actually affected the operation of the clutch on your car? Seems to work fine on mine still (touch wood!); hav'nt had any problem controlling it. Just makes quite a loud creaking.
Fcuk it then. As long as its not doing any harm (i.e. knackering my clutch) I'm not too bothered.
It first did it when I was stuck in stop start traffic for a while in warm weather. The car got that hot that the fan started going (the only time thats ever happened since I've had it). Thought...
My clutch is making a loud creaking noise once its hot. You can hear it inside and outside the car. It seems to work fine though, perhaps a little heavy. Been doing it for a month or so now.
I did a quick search and from what I can tell its likely to be a problem with the cable. Can anyone...
I swapped a K-tec stealth for a Pro-speed which is quieter. Its not exactly stealthy though; people can here me coming. But then I like the noise, its not OTT
