I was'nt ;)
Was too boomy for my taste. The sports cat fitted at the same time did increase resonance though I expect (I did'nt realise this before hand). I don't hold this against you though! The whole system was well fitted, and it did sound the nuts when gunning it.
That could be your problem mate. Usually best to keep a steady throttle round the bends - balances the grip better by keeping some weight on the rear tyres.
I got caught out once on a greasy road when I first got mine. Honestly can't remember if I had lifted off the throttle or not, but I...
No its not :nono:
Evo have voiced their suspicions that the press cars were tweaked on a number of occasions. It would explain the rampant torque steer they experienced but RS owner's don't.
It is a well known rumour. Pardon you ;)
I think the brakes are engineered to give more feel on the Cup's (go's a little way to make up for the lack of ABS I guess!). So yes - they should feel different.
Whether there is actually something wrong with your brakes....suggest you get them checked out if your worried.
Have a go on the search function mate. This is our favourite topic ;)
FWIW the main difference in terms of comfort is that most Cup's do not have air con. The suspension setup is more than bearable IMO
^^Thats a piss take!
And leads on to my question to TheCake - what about consumable items like air filters and brake pads? (agree with what you have said so far)
I have an ITG Panel and I'm wondering if its really worth declaring. It is at the moment - but I feel it's been lumped in with...
Is that even an F1 car though? I find it hard to believe an F1 car as recent as '99 would disintegrate like that - maybe in early 90's.
RE Kubica's incident - that is the most savage crash I've seen in recent years  Glad he got out ok.
Yes indeed
I found that out to my cost recently (not the a belt letting go luckily but time, inconvenience and a little money)
The previous owner had the 36k done by a Renault dealer and they did'nt do the aux belt. Found out when I rang the dealer up. Numpties did'nt seem to...
I did (sorry Mark to drag up your original post again - was'nt my aim!)
Interested to hear your opinion on the Greenstuff Laingo. Still making my mind up, gonna give them some more miles.
Have you heard my exhaust? Thats a Pro-speed stealth 'mid-sport note' according to the reciept. Cost me £300 fitted. (I do have a sports cat though which increases resonance a tad)
It is much less boomy than the K-tec stealth I had before (but they have revised the design since then I believe)...
Right, I need to renew this month; the cheaper the better! :)
Car: 172 Cup - mods: sports cat, cat back exhaust system, panel filter (should I even bother declaring the filter??)
Driver - 24 years old, 1 years no claim, driving 15,000 miles per year
I'm currently with Elephant and their...
