My dealer told me a V6 Modus was on the way!

My 172 does this, but only with the climate switched off! I keep the climate on all the time and no more noise. Private roads of course!;)

Mine does it too. Must be a Renault feature!;)

Try Direct Line. LivVic wanted £480, DL was £400. 34yo protected NCB(full) plus GF as named driver.

Ive never been happy with the feel of the brakes on my 172, I even had it brake tested.... But they feel very effective to my passengers! I put it down to a lack of feedback from a drivers POV. [Edited by Sleepy172 on 12 December 2004 at 7:54pm]

MPG on my 172 varies from ~24mpg to ~41mpg. Oh, and you dont have to shout!

Ive just gone from Frizzells to Direct Line, £84 saving. Anyway, when I phoned round mine was listed as a 1.2 too. Lazy inputters I was told!!

Reminds me of my Capri driving days! Swindon, notorious for roundabouts.:D As for ESP, I noticed it pull my 172 away from a kerb I was sliding towards, I was in control, ESP decided I wasnt. For that particular corner, my Valver was upto 10mph quicker than a 172 with ESP switched on!!:oops:

My dealer told me fully-synth and that Magnatec would be okay, which is what I topped my 172 up with!

Mine whistles through the air vents inside the car, usually 80mph+ my local dealer said theyd fixed it, but car came back with a filthy inside screen, no change. Took it to another dealer who couldnt fix it and said all the 172s they had in did the same........ Another quirk from Renault!

My problems; Interior rattles (standard option pack! ;) Mid exhaust section replaced. Strut mod to stop steering clunking on full lock. CD player packed up after 11 months. Bonnet seal kept falling off. But I still love it!:D

Worst for me was 27mpg, best 41mpg.

Approx 34-36mpg town driving, if taken steady!;)
