I wrote this many, many years ago, but the info contained may be of help. YMMV

Ive never been happy with the feel of the brakes on my 172, I even had it brake tested.... But they feel very effective to my passengers! I put it down to a lack of feedback from a drivers POV.

Autonational Rescue. Who I was with before I got the 172, did okay for me.

Reminds me of my Capri driving days!
Swindon, notorious for roundabouts.:D
As for ESP, I noticed it pull my 172 away from a kerb I was sliding towards, I was in control, ESP decided I wasnt. For that particular corner, my Valver was upto 10mph quicker than a 172 with ESP switched on!!:oops:
Mine whistles through the air vents inside the car, usually 80mph+ my local dealer said theyd fixed it, but car came back with a filthy inside screen, no change. Took it to another dealer who couldnt fix it and said all the 172s they had in did the same........ Another quirk from Renault!
My problems;
Interior rattles (standard option pack! ;) Mid exhaust section replaced. Strut mod to stop steering clunking on full lock. CD player packed up after 11 months. Bonnet seal kept falling off.
But I still love it!:D
