She's fit :rasp:
IMO it is acceptable to modify a Trophy as long as it is tastefull i.e. not like that one with silver sidestrips, tactfull as in some subtle mechanical mods i.e. not a turbo, and not stupid i.e. 'upgrading' the suspension!
I like it, but I have no real desire to own one.
My only real niggle is how much bigger, and heavier, it is than the previous generation clio. But I suppose that is always the way with new cars now.
^^^Not that many really think that. They're just baiting you ;)
From what I've heard (never come up againts one :( ) there is very little in it up to 90-100, then a type R is quicker. Think a clio may have the edge on handling though
4k rattle bruv; common fault. Just means you have to do over 80 on the motorway ;)
Defo exhaust related. Could be heatshield, baffles or something else loose. Mine went away when I had new exhaust system fitted. I asked them to look at the heatshield but I don't know for sure that was the cause.
Inlet manifold matching (circu £170 right), remap, exhaust systems ain't that expensive. We're not talking cams here.
He just wants to know the increase gained from the mod's described (as would I) not how to get the most possible out of the engine.
Someone make an educated guess please!:D
IMO sportiness has nothing to do with bhp or drivetrain. Your totally missing my point. A Range Rover has big bhp and 4 wheel drive!
Gazzrenn - your right this is going in circles. Now we're arguing over the definition of sporty ffs!!
How can you say that?! That is one thing it definately is. A car does'nt have to a sports car to be sporty. Impreza's/Evo's for example: clearly derived from the sport called rallying yet based on family saloons
I'm gonna get the inlets matched and a remap done at some stage. Already have cat back, sports cat and itg panel filter. I intend to have it rolling road tested before and after the inlets and remap are done - just out of interest really, and to get an idea of how well the inlets were matched...
Oh dear. At least its still on the road mate.....I've heard the stories of cup's starting to drop like fly's once it gets cold and wet. I'm gonna be extra carefull
I'm not really refering to out-right performance, just the type of car. A 172/182 is easier to live with day to day but perhaps not as much fun or pleasure to own as a V6.
The V6 is a difficult car to pigeon hole in any way; it does'nt really have any equivalent made by another manufacturer...
