Personally cup, but there's very little in it in performance.
I could drop a little bomb beginning with 'A' now but I don't want to be held responisble for what would happen to this thread.

OK I conceed it is more than a chip but its not exactly heavy. I'm gonna leave this thread alone now. Agree to disagree and all that.
Its hilarious that its got to 190 posts, and the bloke who started it made his choice and bought the car a long time ago!!
(Uh-oh he's back! just when I...
Gutted mate. I'm on my 3rd 360. 1st one never worked properly had it for about 3 weeks - could only read disks 5/10 times. 2nd one lasted 8 days before I got the red lights, staff in Game referred to it as the 'ring of death' lol! Build quality is shocking on these things.
Apoligies big_peaches, I thought you did ask that.
I think the limiter does cut in earlier on the lower gears (sorry if you already know this!), so if you were trying in 1st or 2nd that may be the explanation.
Limiter is at 6800 or 6900 until engine/oil warms up. That might be the prob. Yes the limiter does go on engine speed, WTF else is it gonna go on?! fuel consumption?
Correcto. Wheel base slightly longer on 182 (poss wider track too). And of course 182 cup pack springs are even stiffer than those on 172cup (dunno if thats relevant here if cars being dicussed have uprated suspension)
Your right Iain I should have done a search, this has blatantly been asked before. Sorry I did'nt think!
Gweebs maybe your right. But my understanding was that the standard heatshield is prone to coming loose (as every 172 seems to get the 4k rattle eventually!) so simply refitting it may mean...
I have the 4k rattle on my 172cup. Wheres the best place to get a new heatshield fitted? Can I trust somewhere like Kwikfit to do it? Also is there a particular make/type that is best? or is any aftermarket one better than Renaults OE?
I'm based in Reading by the way.
The Porsche Carrera cup cars (think thats correct name - one make series) used to have ABS but the latest model (this seasons new shape 911) does'nt. Not sure why they removed it though, but fairly sure it was'nt to save weight Cliokhunt....the chip that controls ABS can't be that heavy!

Cup spoiler I would have thought as its lower and less steep. Conversely I would expect the V6 spoiler to give more downforce as its offering more resistance to air passing over.
Personally I was'nt just following someone elses view, I was expressing my own opinion that I held prior to reading this thread.
Most people were doing the same in my opinion. Blaze's attitude somewhat undermined any opinion he expressed.
When I said that the cup was more hardcore I meant...
Ah. I should really become a member then! Was meaning to join this month anyhow when I got paid. Guess I have a decent reason to join now as I was relying on that guide as I am a complete cleaning virgin!
