Sports cat, panel filter, remap: need to tell insurance company?

Which of the above mods would I need to tell my insurance company about? I'm with Elephant if that makes a difference.

All of them, anything that is different to the original spec and they need to be notified unfortunately, but its only for your benefit

If and i mean if you really didnt want to declare them all then i would leave off the remap as the chances of them knowing about this are minimal if non exsistent.

Officially you should declare anything that is not standard

I can see where you're coming from with brake pads etc.

It's hardly a major mod...

Where do you draw the line? Will you have to tell them if you use Halfords pads instead of OE??

Oh god don't tell them that, your premium will go through the roof!

Good point, particularly in terms of a remap there never gonna know.

I replaced my aerial the other day. Hope they don't find out.........

I don't know about panel filters because it's replacing a service iten with a branded part, rather than actually adding something like an induction kit, for example. Shouldn't it be classed the same as using super sparkplugs, or better oil?

:s

I havent told them about mine.

As far as I'm concerned it doesnt affect the cars performance at all so I see no point in notifying them.

I have however notified them of my exhaust.

The only thing I would tell them about is the sports cat as that is easy to see.

The others they won't notice unless they go looking for them specifically.
