we have written to renault today outlining this problem as what moose1978 says is very true. if renault get enough of these letters then they will be forced to look into the potential problem before someone gets hurt. its not difficult for a company the size of renault to address this...

it may be drastic but you cant replace children of family in general. while agreed it is only a few examples - it only takes one more and if kids are in the house or worse if you cant get your friends or children out of the car in time you have deaths on your hand and that will be one too many .

we have two children sleeping above the garages and we dont use the 172 a lot so if it caught fire it would be too late for our babies. letter off to renault in the morning and a phone call. will update on here when we learn more.

yeah ive read quite a few commetns about the 182 . personally i own a 172 in blue and am very pleased about it. just curious as to what other users on here think ? i havent bothered upgrading to a 182 even though its in my budget as im really happy with the 172.
