sad to see a car combust like that, but you all need to lay off renault. these things do happen, dunno how many of you lot remember back to the 80s and early 90s with peugeots, they had the habit of spontaneously combusting back then.
watchdog wont be interested. nor will, in the end, the nationals, because its not a new car, and as such the story wont make people buy the publication. watchdog cant see enough cases of it, and although the sensationalist storys there (very valid points about being concerned for families, putting lives at danger etc) theres just not a big enough injustice against the consumer. in relation to some of the stories they have on anyway.
hope you get the matter resolved though, if its the fault of the car and its within warranty (and it can be proven that it was a fault with the car) they should replace it. itd happen with anything else, why not cars.
