people need to remeber that warrantys from some of the ebay sellers are international but not UK based, so the lens needs to be sent back to hong kong if it fubars.

Also try places like robert white, If you dont mind grey imports place like digital rev, or kerso on talk photography iirc hes started selling some noink bits now
Honestly its not that bad, espec as a prime like a 300 2.8 takes a TC very well, heck even a 2x works fantastically well with mine on the mkII (much better than my 70-200 ever would). 400 2.8s are silly money now thanks to the sodding 30% price increase, it would cost me the same price second...
she was an amateur, some of us start that way and then start using them heavily.
its just a point for consideration imo, like i said initially the 1000D like posted has the features most people will need to keep them happy, its just the durability of the smaller bodies which you really have to...
The actual main housing which the camera is built on 'chassis' if you must is much much more robust than the lower counterparts, if you are working a camera hard it pics up lots of bangs and scrapes, the metal cased bodies from both brands will deal with this far better. A friend was quite hard...
The plastic bodies are notably different to the metal counterparts.
One is metal one is plastic, and its really noticable imo and one will take alot more abuse.
Try a 1D then see if you think all of the covers are poor :D
compaired to my 1d or 30d any of the plastic bodies feel like fisherprice goodies.
it depends what you are used to, mates with 350/400Ds dont notice it till they use a metal cased camera.
You could get a canon 30/40D with low shutter actuations second hand which are better and more durable imo
I dont really do alot of processing on my images, however its something which I need to more in future because a few clients ask for it.
Like I say though get handy on the PP work and you can do a few things you didnt think possible without mega £££ invested in gear.
All the best with the new...
In theory if you are very good with photoshop you could create similar.
The shot was in a very well lit carpark, ive just used the flashes to effectively overpower them. You could say get a nice RAW shot and then with some work eliminate the light but on the car in a spot like above.
Thanks to...

exif should still be there aswell as im not one of these people who feels they should block settings to stop others learning :D
Been a bit poorly recently hitting a fox (still got the plastic needing to sort) and hitting a pothole and wrecking a wheel.
So a set of standard wheels sourced and fitted, thought it was time to get a reasonable snap of it.
with any of the cheap bolt on goodies (bolt on fisheye stuff etc.) IQ almost allways suffers.
However if you are just a hobbyest and your not having clients ringing you up for drops in IQ, if its something you think you will have fun with then go for it.
There was a big rumour of a new one being released, however its just ebay and retards who get excited when bidding.
They go for less than £300 now second hand to, I sold mine for £280, and seen some go for around the same on talk photography.
Ebay - Egay.
The thing is theres alot to play with. For my DJ shots we used to have different lights, now we have LEDs + more smoke so its changed things alot, I also prefer a crisp dj shot than some of the mega long shutter things people do which can often be mildly oof at the best of times.
ETTL - is...
Limited to 5posts for now (need to renew membership lol)
Sorry for lack of exif im not one of the people who hides exif i just was being lazy and used FB.
Those images, top one is 1/6 or 1/8, F2.8 or F4, iso 800, flash ETTL with Fec increased slightly usually.
DJ shot, usually between 1/20...
I almost allways work direct for a promoter/manager.
Im not into photosales, i want to know what my money is for even turning up, it also means i can concentrate on shooting rather than selling.
Ill vary my prices depending on the client/size of the event/how long im there and what the pics...
The big issue is photography IS peoples livelyhoods.
Even at a low level you can do alot to damage the industry, ive been very careful just working on through over the last two years, and you learn alot dealing with guys being around 20-30years etc...
People handing over pics for free to get...
If you see a gig you like (lower key better to start) just mail the promoter/maneger of the event/venue.
Say you are a freelance/student photographer and you are wanting to expand your portfolio so would you be able to get into the venue and have a pass to shoot, do the usual pr thing of you...
I only started out with my 30D - 28-135 IS and a 430 ex, I then needed wiider so went 10-20.
Shot a few gigs then got in with the right people, but they wanted fisheye stuff so i had to fork out for one in advance.
Shot a while like that and just got bored, I want to do eventually...
I shot for a couple of years on a 30D with siggy 10-20, but now my main body is a 1D mkIIn.
however the 30D still gets a fair bit of abuse as my 15mm fisheye is not focussing well atm, so still use my old 10mm on the 1.6x.
A general event ill carry those two bodies, my 580ex II, a spare 430...
Not really paid much attention to this part of the forum but can safely say its thriving!! Plenty of guys loving the motorsport work but does anyone shoot music?
Nightclubs,festivals,bands etc???
I tend to spend most of my time with a camera shooting nights, so just thought id see if anyone...
