its leaking in two places though, im hoping its just the bottle.
just very angry at myself tbh, i thought i checked everything on the car.
but i got my dates mixed up and now im thinking did the person just sell it to me because its gonna need alot getting through an MOT :(
BUMP. how much are hoses towards the headlights? as theres no water even when full spraying onto them.
car needs mot and need to get this fixed.
I got my dates mixed up when i bought the car, and the previous seller didnt inform me that it needed an MOT ASAP! :( :(
just refilled tank. Its leaking also under car in rte middle. Coming out where the undertray is. Headlamp washers dont come on when normal washers do. So could that be the problem. The tank was empty when I got the car. So suspect it was like it when I got it :(
headlamp washers dont appear to leak. But also I've not used them. The water is running down under the car behind the front wheel. Which makes me think bottle
I'm guessing that it must have a hole in it, although not sure. Whatever it is water and wash dont last very long. Are they a big job to remove and refit?? Can't think what else could cause it tbh. Gutted as not even had the 2 a week
why having it on its arse is gay. They oversteer as standard, its slower round a track with the arse end out.
if you really want to go arse happy bung a 25mm arb in with 23mm bars, although youd need groupN dampers for that :P
the body styling uses the same shell. Same as a mk1 and mk2 saxo. And the asthetics mean sod all to me, Im talking about the important bits, eg running gear.
everyone allways says their slammed saxo handles well, when infact they have never been in a very well set up car, the track rods are...
im on rallye reg, but dont post anymore, cant justify paying for lots of forums.
and 106Moaners is utter shite.
Its kinda bianca white, well parts of it are lol!!! Its got a 16v on bodies indeed :P
saxos get a s**t reputation but they are perfectly fine cars, had mine for 4.5 years done a few...
saxos are perfectly fine if looked after right.. Ive now got two TU engines on bodies.... great little engines. Although prob should get rid of one now i have the 2 lol.
a slammed saxo wont handle well for starters :P
saxos and 106s are 99% the same in every aspect. Unless you compair the vtr to a rallye where the rallyes had better higher revving set ups.
only real difference between gti and saxo is leather and rear ARB
I own a few TU engined cars aswell as the 2.
Id say for track days id get a saxo, they are alot easyer to work on and upgrade parts for, easyer to get parts for as theres so many that have been bent, and different models parts generally tend to fit easily.
Chassis wise they are great out of...
yes i think mike really cared for the exterior. and obviously the wheel refurb recently helped.
they came up nice with some wax aswell. Just a shame my drive to brighton and back last night meant ive got 300 dead flies all over my freshly cleaned front end :(
think the front end deffo needs...
Well ive been here a while, but thursday i picked up my nice flame red 172 from mike. Formerly 172gals (iirc)
anyway engine was a tad mucky so gave it a quick clean as i know mike had kept the outside spotless, although gave it a quick wax aswell as the wheels. Anyway thinking a few light...
cheers, are there many rubber parts sealing on the system? ive come from TU engines so need to research a bit more on these.
Dont want to go fubaring things up.
Hey all. Sorry if this is the wrong section, didnt really know where to go as there isnt a cleaning section that i know of.
Basically the outside of my new '2' is reasonably clean but the engine was filtyher than a $2 hooker. I gave the cover a quick clean but the inlet itself is a bit grubby...
at least having the trumpets at the front of the engine will help with ambient temperatures especially down into the inlet itself. Unlike TU engines where mine has a nice lot of warm air from over the engine to draw into the inlet.
How well are the inlet manifolds on the 1*2 designed, as this...
clio more of an all round better car.
But lupo will hold value much more than the 1*2 will no matter what model.
Id personally keep the lupo if you dont need to free up alot of equity
